Third Eye Chakra: The Seat of Insight

The third eye chakra is the sixth chakra, located between the eyebrows at the center of the forehead. It governs your intuition, perception, imagination, and higher wisdom.

Gently place your fingertips between your eyebrows. Traditionally, this chakra is a deep indigo blue or violet color, representing clarity, insight, and illumination.

This is the center of your inner knowing—where intellect and intuition meet. It allows you to see beyond physical sight and understand the subtle patterns of life.

  • Insight: Seeing clearly without distortion or illusion.

  • Intuition: Trusting your inner guidance and the unseen flow of wisdom.

Imbalances can appear as confusion, overthinking, headaches, poor memory, or disconnection from intuition.

Essential Oil Enhancement

Lavender essential oil calms the mind and enhances intuitive awareness.

  • Take 3 deep inhalations of lavender oil.

  • Apply a drop gently to your temples, forehead, or the back of your neck.

As you inhale, allow the cooling scent to clear your thoughts and open inner vision.

Body-Mind Practice

  1. Sit comfortably with an upright spine. Relax your shoulders and jaw.

  2. Using your fingertips, massage gently in small circular motions between the eyebrows and at the temples for about 30 seconds.

    • This helps release tension in the forehead and awaken your third eye center.

  3. Then, place your palms over your eyes and rest them there.

    • Feel darkness and warmth.

    • Notice any colors, lights, or sensations within this still space.

This soothing self-touch helps you turn inward, relax the optic nerves, and awaken subtle perception.

Meditation

  1. Find stillness.

    • Sit or recline comfortably with your spine aligned.

    • Allow the face to soften. Let the eyes gently close.

  2. Bring your awareness to the space between your eyebrows.

    • Feel this point as both inward and expansive.

    • Imagine a small sphere of indigo light pulsing gently here.

Cultivating Inner Vision

With each inhale, this indigo light becomes brighter and clearer. With each exhale, it expands outward, softening any mental fog or tension.

Notice thoughts as passing clouds—observe them without attachment. Beneath them is pure awareness, the sky of your mind.

Let your breath guide you into this quiet clarity.

Opening the Gateway of Perception

  • Visualize the indigo light radiating through your forehead and temples, creating a halo of cool blue-violet glow.

  • Allow it to illuminate your inner world: intuition, imagination, dreams, and memory.

  • Breathe into this space five times, deepening the connection between body, mind, and soul.

As you settle, feel yourself attuned to your inner knowing—centered, clear, and calm.
